Community Service
Dear Mountain Vista Football Parents,
The Mountain Vista Football program will be implementing Community Service projects throughout the course of the '11-'12 season in order to give back to our community. The Community Service projects are divided by grade level and each football player will participate in one of the following projects and dates outlined below...
- Freshmen will volunteer for the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure on the morning of October 2nd, 2011.
- Sophomores will volunteer for the Special Olympics Bowling Tournament on the morning of October 9th, 2011.
- *Juniors will serve lunch to the homeless at the Denver Rescue Mission on October 30th, November 4th, and November 5th.
- *Seniors will volunteer at Children's Hospital reading, playing games, and doing a craft on October 17th and October 22nd ...late afternoon.
*A signup sheet for juniors and seniors will be posted in the weight room to choose preferred volunteer date.
Parent volunteers, or chaperones, are going to be needed for the above Community Service projects. Duties will include taking attendance, supervising, and assisting the football players with their project. Detailed communications will be provided to each volunteer for each particular project.

- 6-7 volunteers will be needed for Special Olympics.
- 2 volunteers will be needed each day for Denver Rescue Mission.
- 2 volunteers will be needed each day for Children's Hospital.
